   संभवत: इसी लिए पिछले सप्ताह अमेरिका की आत्मरक्षा की नीति के विरोधी सी.ए.आई.आर और अमेरिकन सिविल लिबर्टीज यूनियन ने टोरन्टो से लौटने वाले पांच यात्रियों से कहा कि वे संघीय सरकार के विरुद्ध कानूनी कारवाई की मांग करें क्योंकि उन्हें गैर-कानूनी तरीके से पूछताछ के लिए रोका गया , पूछताछ की गई उनकी उंगली का निशान तथा चित्र लिया गया . दो शिकायतकर्ताओं की मांगें तो दीर्धगामी महत्व की हैं कि अदालत यह घोषित करे कि सीमा सुरक्षा एजेन्सी ने यात्रियों के अधिकारों का उल्लंघन किया है तथा इस एजेन्सी को धार्मिक सम्मेलनों से वापस आ रहे अमेरिका के मुस्लिम नागरिकों को पूछताछ के लिए रोकने , पूछताछ करने , उंगली का निशान लेने या चित्र लेने से रोक दिया जाये .यदि शिकायतकर्ता इस मामले में विजयी हुए तो आतंकवादियों और अन्य इस्लामवादियों के लिए धार्मिक सम्मेलन के बहाने बिना बाधा के अमेरिका की सीमा पार करना सबसे अच्छा तरीका बन जायेगा.ऐसे दुष्टतापूर्ण प्रभाव वाले मुकदमे को अदालत से हटा देना चाहिए.
