There is a reason we don't link out or cite garbage such as that, and if individuals have trouble seeing it that it is not a reliable source, then I question the validity or the constructiveness of their edits.
But, the discussion wasn't exactly achieving a stellar level of constructiveness ( some might think the entire thread served no purpose right from its start ), and indeed Jimbo's talk page does see such threads quite often.
