:I do not think that is a big problem, Quark Gluon Plasma is created when two heavy atomic nucleus collide, the volume of the plasma should be of the same order of magnitude as the volume of a nucleus 10 fm = 10 * 10 ^-15 m = 0.00 000 000 001 mm.
Two types of quarkonia have been extensively studied : charmonia, which consist of a charm quark and an anti-charm, and bottomonia made of a bottom and an anti-bottom quark . Charm and anticharm quarks in the presence of the Quark Gluon Plasma, in which there are many free colour charges, are not able to see each other any more and therefore they cannot form bound states.
Then around " T " = 150 MeV there is a crossover to the quark gluon plasma : thermal fluctuations break up the pions, and we find a gas of quarks, antiquarks, and gluons, as well as lighter particles such as photons, electrons, positrons, etc . Following this path corresponds to travelling far back in time ( so to say ), to the state of the universe shortly after the big bang ( where there was a very tiny preference for quarks over antiquarks ).
