There is much difference of opinion about the original home of the Aryans . Formerly , the general idea was that they were the inhabitants of Central Asia . But later researches in the field have made some scholars think that they originally belonged to Scandinavia , others that they inhabited the part of Asian Russia to the east of the Urals .
