pruinose वाक्य

The exterior surface is paler than the interior, somewhat grayish, and may be " pruinose " near the margins having a very fine whitish powder on the surface.
They may or may not be covered with a powdery-looking surface ( pruinose ), which when present, may make them appear lighter in color, to almost white.
Its surface texture is smooth or lightly pruinose ( as if dusted with a fine white powder ), and it is dark brown at the base and whitish at the top.
The fruiting structures ( apothecia have lightly pruinose, burnt-orange to tan discs rimmed, with a contrasting rim of pale greenish thallus-like tissue making them easy to identify.
The lower region of the stem is brownish in color and has silky " hairs " pressed against the stem; the upper region is grayish and pruinose ( lightly dusted with powdery white granules ).

The older treatments use various characteristics to delimit the species, for instance Moser distinguishes " M . melaleuca " as not having a pruinose cap, with a long stem in relation to the cap diameter, having a dark brownish cap colour, with stem not coarsely striate, and having white stem flesh.
