" Townlet " is not a common English word I'm not sure of its original source, but I think it is essentially made up to serve as a precise translation of the administrative term PGT / SMT . But in general use, e . g ., category names or in the text of an article, I think the common term " town " is a more appropriate term, serving well enough for something that is in between a city and a village . ( strictly speaking, I understand that " misto " includes all cities and larger towns, while PGT / SMT typically refers to " village-sized settlements of urban character ", with exceptions ) " Z . 2006-03-01 20 : 33 Z"
