The good news is I'm watching less TV . The bad news is that I've traded that boob tube for another : my computer.

That isn't such a bad idea either, but it's easier and more important to scrap the boob tubes and waste the vast wasteland.
At some point during the brief history of television, someone noticed that children stopped all activity when certain images and sounds were played on the boob tube.
Besides, this is Reading is Fun Week, and by now you should have switched off the boob tube, in the spirit of National TV Turnoff Week.
