मुझे स्मरण आता है कि 1997 में मैनहट्टन में मिडिल ईस्ट फोरम के लिये आर्थिक सहायता के निमित्त जब इरविन होचबर्ग से मिला तो उन्होंने अत्यंत व्यवस्थित ढंग से टाइप किया हुआ दिन भर का कार्यक्रम दिखाया । मुझे लगा कि एक बडी फर्म के मुखिया होने के चलते दिन भर वे ग्राहकों, अपने सहयोगियों या अन्य अपने कार्य से सम्बंधित गतिविधियों में व्यस्त रहेंगे । परंतु ऐसा नहीं था वरन उनके दिन की सभी गतिविधियों में लोगों को सेवा के लिये आर्थिक सहायता देने या अन्य सेवा कार्य का कार्यक्रम अधिक था , जिसमें कि मुझे आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान करना, अन्य लोगों की सहायता करना , एक कक्षा में अध्यापन कार्य करना , कोई निवेश करना , प्रशासन करना तथा इजरायल के कल्याण और सुरक्षा को आगे बढाना शामिल था ।
