Other research has been done on the chemical components extracted from the pod surface of " C . scarabaeoides " and compared with that of cultivated pigeonpea.
The water extracted from the pods of both pigeonpea and " C . scarabaeoides " showed greater antifeedant activity in that of " C . scarabaeoides ".
