The foliage is scabrid, crisped-villous or puberulent with yellow glandular hairs.
They are also erect, greenish blue, rough or scabrid ( to the touch ), and not evergreen.
Another common variety is " Haworthia attenuata var . radula "-Hankey Dwarf Aloe ( previously considered a separate species ) which has longer, more elongated, scabrid leaves with smaller, more numerous tubercles.
