Overnight , street vendors selling tender coconut water and roasted corn and the homeless with their pathetic bedding of plastic sheets and waste cardboard were swept away -LRB- God only knows where -RRB- as an army of municipal workers moved in to lay a carpet of asphalt over broken tarmac , paint the trunks of trees in terracotta and white and build a parapet along the sea in breathtaking time .
महानगरपालिका के कर्मचारियों का दल वहां टूटी ही सड़ेक की जगह ड़ामर की कालीन बिछाने , पेड़ें के तनों की पुताई करने और समुद्र के किनारे मुंड़ेर को आनन-फानन बनाने के लिए फंचा तो वहां नारियल पानी और भुनी मक्का बेचने वालं तथा गंदे प्लस्टिक की चादरों और रद्दी कार्ड़बोर्ड़ पर सोने वाले बेघरों को रातोरात चलता कर दिया गया ( भगवान जाने कहां भगाया गया ) .
