1. Standard Limited Overs Cricket was started in England in the 1963 season when a competition amongst the first class county clubs was held for a knockout cup. In 1969 a National League Tournament was started. The idea behind this was to involve principal cricket playing countries and the first Limited Overs International match was played in 1971. In 1975 the first World Cup Cricket was held in England. In Limited Overs Cricket many changes were introduced which include colorful kit and floodlit match played with a white ball.
   मानक सीमित ओवरों के क्रिकेट की शुरुआत इंग्लैंड में 1963 के मौसम में हुई जब प्रथम श्रेणी के काउंटी क्लबों द्वारा एक नोक आउट कप पर स्पर्धा हुई.1969 में एक राष्ट्रीय लीग प्रतियोगिता की स्थापना की गई थी.इसके पीछे अवधारणा थी कि अन्य मुख्य क्रिकेट देशों को शामिल किया जाए और पहला सीमित ओवरों का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मैच १९७१ में खेला गया. 1975 में प्रथम क्रिकेट वर्ल्ड कप इंग्लैंड में हुआ. सीमित ओवरों के क्रिकेट में कई बदलाव लाये गए जिसमें बहुल रंगों के किट का उपयोग और एक सफ़ेद गेंद से फ्लड लिट मैच शामिल हैं.
