   लेकिन उसने इसे सफलतापूर्वक इसलिए संपन्न किया क़्योंकि उसे भय था कि वेद को भुला दिया जाएगा और वह लोगों की स्मृति से निकल जाएगा , क़्योंकि उसने देखा कि लोगों का चरित्र दिन-ब-दिन बिगड़ता जा रहा था और वे सदाचरण तो क़्या कर्तव्य तक की परवाह नहीं करते थे .
