1. He can order a member to discontinue his speech or to withdraw words or expressions which he feels are unparliamentary or undignified .
   वह किसी भी सदस्य को अपना भाषण वहीं समाप्त करने के लिए आदेश दे सकता है और यह आदेश भी दे सकता है कि वह सदस्य ऐसे शब्द या अभिव्यक़्ति को वापस ले ले जो अध्यक्ष के विचार में असंसदीय या अभद्र हों .
2. He may order that anything said by a member without his permission shall not go on record and that anything found unparliamentary shall be expunged .
   वह यह आदेश भी दे सकता है कि उसकी अनुमति के बिना किसी सदस्य द्वारा कही गई कोई बात कार्यवाही-वृत्तांत में सम्मिलित नहीं की जाएगी और असंसदीय पाई गई किसी बात को कार्यवाही-वृत्तांत से निकाल दिया जाए .

   कतिपय ऐसे शब्दों या वाक़्यों , जिन्हें पीठासीन अधिकारी द्वारा असंसदीय घोषित कर वाद विवाद में से निकाल दिया जाता है तथा उसके आदेशों के अंतर्गत अभिलिखित न किये गये भागों को कार्यवाही के आधिकारिक अभिलेख में सम्मिलित नहीं किया जाता .
4. Any word or portions ordered “ not to be recorded ” or expunged from the proceedings as being unparliamentary , cannot be published by the media or anyone else as there is no unlimited right to the publication of the proceedings of the Houses of Parliament .
